Infrastructure Manager

Charles Simon Associates are currently recruiting for an Infrastructure Manager on a permanent basis for our prestigious business based in the London area. This opportunity is a home based role within the UK and with commuter links to London.

 

Location: Home Based with travel

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum Plus benefits

 

Skills/requirements for the Infrastructure Manager:

  • Previous experience within a similar role
  • Extensive experience working and dealing with 3rd party companies, to assist with projects
  • Strong technical skills, with the ability to be hands on when needed, however this is a hands off role
  • Previous experience of running and managing projects within the Telecoms, azure, O365, Networking areas is vital
  • Ability to work with the small team to help create and adjust the Windows Architecture when needed
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Any SD-WAN experience would be highly desirable

 

Start date is ASAP for the Infrastructure Manager

 

The Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring any major incidents are tracked, reported and communicated
  • Managing Supplier relationships covering 3rd party support and outsourced consultancy
  • Regularly reviewing system permissions for internal and external teams
  • Owning the desktop and server build definition and maintaining all computers within the security profile of the business
  • Acting as a point of escalation for the organisation for any service impacting issues
  • Managing the escalation of incidents within the business and ensure OLA and SLAs are met
  • Provide assistance and education to end users
  • Documenting processes for the infrastructure team core activities
  • Ensuring that all Network, Server or Telephony related problems are managed by 3rd party suppliers to the swiftest resolution in line with SLA
  • Producing project scopes for the implementation of new Infrastructure projects, accounting for resources, costs and timescales
  • Working with users and vendors to ensure testing, user training and documentation is completed in line with business standards
